First day in Basel!

So far, I couldn't be happier here!  Our apartment is perfect for us and we have a great spot, right on the river Rhine.  Here are some pics of our place:

We found the grocery and then took a walk along the river.  So beautiful!

Yes, those people are in the water!  And everyone is doing it.  Apparently, you just buy a waterproof bag, dump in your belongings, the bag acts as a floatation device, and you just float downstream till you feel like getting out. I'm not sure we are going to "do as the romans do." We might just stick to the public swimming pools when we find them. Probably safer for the kids.  :)

We are also very close to Novartis, only 10 minutes away.  We are so close in fact that we walked by their campus tonight:

Great first day.  Tomorrow we find the soccer camp, or I guess I should say "football" camp, hit the farmers market, and visit the playground around the corner.
